Short bio

I received the MSc and DSc degrees in mathematics from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland, in 1999 and 2005, respectively. During 2006–2007 I worked abroad for two years, first at Columbia University in the USA and then at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) and Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. After returning to Finland in 2008, I worked for three years at Aalto University and then three more at the University of Jyväskylä, before returning to Aalto University in March 2014.
