Rectangular mixed finite elements for elasticity with weak symmetry
The symmetry of stress tensor in linear elasticity is a main obstacle in
constructing stable mixed finite elements. A weak symmetry idea has
been successful in developing new mixed finite elements for elasticity.
In this talk, we introduce new rectangular mixed
finite elements for elasticity with weak symmetry and if time permits,
the elasticity complex framework of Arnold-Falk-Winther will be
introduced.
